MT-10 Metal TreatmentOil Additive
MT-10 is the keystone product of the MPC line. It contains no solids such as PTFE(Teflon), Molybdenum Disulfide (MoS2), Graphite, etc. It contains no silicone. MT-10 is comprised of the highest quality oil and proprietary additives. It is non-toxic and non-hazardous. It rapidly biodegrades when exposed to atmospheric conditions and ultraviolet light. And above all... How Does It Work?MT-10 smoothes and seals metal surfaces with no danger of build-up or changes in tolerance. MT-10 causes an electro-chemical reaction to take place upon the metal surfaces, developing a Cation exchange of positive and negative ions. Metals are made up of metallic carbides (high surface areas of a more positive charge) and base metals (low surface areas of a more negative charge). When MT-10 is applied to the system, there is a cation exchange of ionic molecules which fill up the low surface areas of the metal and charge-alters the surface of the metal to create a more positive state of polarity. With opposing metal surfaces having a like, uniform charge, there is a reduction in frictional contact due to the Faraday reaction of like charges. A better rate of oil flow combined with higher film strength produces a system with dramatically high lubricity, minimal wear, and cooler operating parameters.
How MT-10 fills in the low metal areas or micropores, and provides constant boundary film protection and no dry-start conditions!
MT-10's Cation exchange causes moving metal surfaces that are moving in opposition to each other to repel from an electro-chemical standpoint. What Customers Are Saying!ALCAN - Canada"...the speed reducer of the #9 digestor was running at 300 degrees F., and needed an urgent repair. After adding 10% of MT-10, the temperature dropped to 170 degrees F and remained there since." -- Robert Bouchard, Hydraulic Technician Commonwealth of PA, PENNDOT" Our initial tests of the MT-10 indicated a 30 degree drop in operating temperature of our GM 400 Transmissions, from a 215 degree range to approximately 185 degrees F. We anticipate considerable savings in downtime and repairs with our crew cab fleet as a result of this product." -- William Sachse, Equipment Manager Georgia-Pacific Corporation" On a 5 HP electric motor we reduced our amperage draw by 8% with MT-10. Our Hub City Angle Drive speed reduction gear box cooled down by 13% using MT-10. Also, our Fuller 1000 vane compressor experianced a 14% reduction in amperage with the MT-10." -- Lyle Schulz, Maintenence Supervisor TY Miles, Inc." The MT-10, in our ballizing process decreased the surface finish by over 80%. This was not possible with any other lubricant previously used. Using a powdered metal casting and MT-10 in the process, we were able to achieve a 6 micron finish. On leaded steel we have reduced the surface finish from 50 microns down to 10 microns using MT-10. This is a 500% improvement!" -- Joseph L. Kleifges I, Chief Ballizing Technician What MT-10 Does
