MT-10 Metal Treatment

For Automatic Transmissions

How Does It Work?

MT-10 smoothes and seals metal surfaces with no danger of build-up or changes in tolerance. MT-10 causes an electro-chemical reaction to take place upon the metal surfaces, developing a Cation exchange of positive and negative ions. Metals are made up of metallic carbides (high surface areas of a more positive charge) and base metals (low surface areas of a more negative charge). When MT-10 is applied to the system, there is a cation exchange of ionic molecules which fill up the low surface areas of the metal and charge-alters the surface of the metal to create a more positive state of polarity. With opposing metal surfaces having a like, uniform charge, there is a reduction in frictional contact due to the Faraday reaction of like charges. A better rate of oil flow combined with higher film strength produces a system with dramatically high lubricity, minimal wear, and cooler operating parameters.

What MT-10 does in Automatic Transmissions

Heat

When 8 oz. of MT-10 are added to the transmission, heat will be reduced significantly. MT-10 addresses the extreme pressure areas, such as planetary and worm gear systems, along with bushings, bearings, and shafts. MT-10 will keep the temperature of the transmission under 180 degrees F, even under load conditions.

Valve Body Operation

In 80% of actual, confirmed cases presented by professional transmission builders, MT-10 has freed the valve body and caused optimum performance with no reoccurrance of sticking or intermittent hang-ups.

Governors

As most builders are aware, there are certain governor systems that have unique tendencies to hang up for no apparent reason. Two reasons these hang-ups occur are 1. contaminants and 2. microscopic spiking of the metal due to electrolytic corrosion of the metal. MT-10 will displace contaminants and smooth and seal metal surfaces, removing electrolytic spikes and preventing their formation.

Directions for Use

Add 8 oz. of MT-10 to the transmissions dip stick port while the engine is running and allow circulation to occur for approximately 15 minutes. Then drive the vehicle on the highway and allow shifting to occur. Shifting of tthe transmission should be precise, efficient, and complete. If the problem is not rectified at this time, disassembly of the transmission is required to locate the mechanical problem.
